In diesem Projekt befasse ich mich mit Schriften. Es geht darum einen Zeitungsartikel über eine Schrift und deren Erfinderin oder Erfinder zu gestalten.
Die Sabon von Jan Tschichold ist eine sehr saubere und geordnete Schrift. «Selbst mit einer schönen Schrift aber wird man hässliche Typografie machen, wenn man von Ihrer Anordnung nichts versteht.» Von diesem Zitat, welches von Jan Tschichold stammt, lasse ich mich für das Layout inspirieren. Ich lerne die Sabon kennen und versuche sie zu verstehen, um aus ihr anhand von Bild, Text und Typografie einen geordneten und sauberer Zeitungsartikel zu gestalten. Hiermit stelle ich die Schrift Sabon, ihren Erfinder Jan Tschichold und seine Geschichte vor.
In this project I deal with typefaces. The aim is to create a newspaper article about a typeface and its inventor.
Sabon by Jan Tschichold is a very clean and orderly typeface. «Even with a beautiful typeface, however, one will make ugly typography if one does not understand anything about its arrangement.» I take inspiration for the layout from this quote, which comes from Jan Tschichold. I get to know the font Sabon and try to understand it in order to create an orderly and neat newspaper article from it using images, text and typography. Herewith I introduce the typeface Sabon, its inventor Jan Tschichold and its history.
Dans ce projet, je travaille avec des polices de caractères. Il s’agit de créer un article de journal sur une police de caractères et son inventrice ou son inventeur.
La Sabon de Jan Tschichold est une police de caractères très propre et ordonnée. «Même avec une belle fonte, on fera une typographie laide si l’on ne comprend rien à sa disposition». Je m’inspire de cette citation, qui vient de Jan Tschichold, pour la mise en page. J’apprends à connaître et comprendre la police de caractère Sabon pour en faire un article de journal ordonné et propre en utilisant des images, du texte et de la typographie. Je présente ainsi la police de caractère Sabon, son inventeur Jan Tschichold et son histoire.
